Today, on the occasion of Diwali, an uncle in my apartment gave me some sweets. It’s the second time he is giving me sweets this week; last time was because he had just returned to Dubai. So, I said, “You are the sweetest person,” to him, as a sudden, poetic reflex. His eyes and teeth become widened and face brightened little by little. he is becoming happy.
In the evening, one of the dudes was sharing his troubles with me ; it was the usual chat among us most of the evening. Suddenly that same uncle joined us, placed a comforting hand on mentally dull dude\’s shoulder, and started joking to lighten his mood. I joined in, and soon we were all sharing laughs and telling jokes. The uncle spent his whole day spreading happiness. I am realising from this how much words truly matter. A simple compliment, especially to a hardworking person, can have a much greater impact than we realize.
And later, \”I\” received a positive invitation to a nice place.
When you do good, good will come to you.
Yesterday, I shared with someone that I used to be a very arrogant person. Today, I realize that if you truly want even a glimpse of goodness in your life, it begins the moment you let go of arrogance.
The sweetest person
